Individual was arrested in Namangan for storing 828 million soums worth of illegal drugs

Authorities in the Namangan region have apprehended an individual for illegally storing drugs intended for sale without proper licensing. This was reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan.
During a swift operation conducted in collaboration with the General Prosecutor's Office and officials from the Namangan regional branch of the State Security Service, B.E., the head of "M-s" LLC, was found to have 220,308 units of 659 different types of drugs and medical products, valued at a total of 828.1 million soums. These items, which are banned for use in medical practice and unregistered with state authorities, were confiscated and transferred to a secure facility owned by "Namangan Dori-Darmon" JSC for safekeeping.
A criminal case has been opened under the applicable articles of the Criminal Code, and an investigation is currently underway.
It is worth noting that in a separate case earlier, authorities discovered illegal drugs valued at 2.9 billion soums in the city of Urganch, Khorezm region.
