A man who set up a drug lab in his mother-in-law's house was detained in the Kosonsoy district of the Namangan region. This was reported by the State Security Service.

It is noted that during an operation conducted in the Kosonsoy district of the Namangan region, in cooperation with officers of the State Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a man born in 2001 was detained while placing synthetic drugs in the form of a "pawn." It was also discovered that he had set up a drug lab in his mother-in-law's house, and during the search and investigation, 9 kg 450 g of the synthetic drug mephedrone were seized as material evidence from the address. Additionally, a total of 595 g of mephedrone, which he had hidden in secret places for the purpose of selling to clients, was also duly registered.

In an operation conducted by the employees of the Surkhandarya regional department of the State Security Service, in cooperation with the internal affairs bodies, a previously convicted individual born in 1977, a resident of the Saryasiyo district, was detained while attempting to take 82 kg 478 g of "opium" left in a secret place in the Uzun district by Tajik drug couriers and hide it in a non-residential building of one of the local farms.

It was revealed that he was supposed to deliver this narcotic substance to a designated location in the future, based on instructions from a Tajik drug dealer, in exchange for a service fee of 2 thousand US dollars.

In another case, while receiving 7 kg 313 g of 5-Fluro-ADB, a synthetic cannabinoid analogue, sent by international mail from the Russian Federation in a plastic container under a different product name, two individuals temporarily residing in Tashkent city, born in 2001 and 2002 in the Kashkadarya region, were detained by officers of the State Customs Committee and the Customs Committee.

It was discovered that they were supposed to deliver this deadly substance from Tashkent city to Samarkand region for 500 US dollars, based on instructions from an unknown individual whom they met through the WhatsApp messenger.

Subsequently, two citizens, born in 2001 and 2002, residing in the Pastdargam district, were also detained while receiving this narcotic substance in Samarkand region.

During a search of the apartment of one of them in the city of Samarkand, it was revealed that a clandestine laboratory had been set up for the production of synthetic drugs.

It is reported that criminal cases have now been initiated against these individuals under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and a preventive measure of arrest has been applied. Investigations are underway.

It should be recalled that earlier, more than 48 kilograms of narcotic drugs smuggled into Uzbekistan from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan were confiscated.
