2265A 21-year-old individual involved in secretly distributing psychoactive drugs has been detained in the Tashkent region, according to the regional Main Department of Internal Affairs.
The arrest occurred as part of the "Safe Zone" rapid preventive measure, when officers from the 1st regional district of the Tashkent region's police department noticed two individuals, approximately 22 years old, acting suspiciously in the "Ahillik" mahalla of the Kibray district. M.A. and J.M., both born in 2003, attempted to flee when they noticed the officers. They were subsequently detained and searched in the presence of witnesses.
The search revealed that the individuals were carrying 520 packages of psychotropic and potent drugs. These substances were seized and registered as evidence with the participation of an operative officer from the Internal Affairs Department. It was discovered that the suspects intended to hide the drugs in secret locations throughout the region as "bookmarks."
Pre-investigation measures are currently underway regarding the case.
It is important to note that a similar crackdown occurred earlier, when the sale of approximately 14,000 psychoactive and strong-acting drugs was prohibited in the Andijan and Fergana regions, as well as in the city of Tashkent.
