Mirziyoyev congratulates Trump and extends invitation to Uzbekistan

3522The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, congratulated U.S. President Donald Trump on his official inauguration. This was reported by Sherzod Asadov, the press secretary of the President.
In his letter, President Mirziyoyev expressed his confidence that under President Trump’s new term, the influence and prestige of the United States on the international stage, its economic power and potential, and its global role and significance will continue to grow.
Uzbekistan highly values and appreciates the United States’ policy of continuous support for the country’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
"During your first presidency, I hope to establish a new era of strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States, and elevate our multilateral relations to a higher level. We look forward to continuing our long-term cooperation through both bilateral and multilateral platforms," President Mirziyoyev's letter stated.
The Uzbek president also extended an invitation to President Trump to visit Uzbekistan. It is worth noting that on November 6, 2024, Mirziyoyev had already congratulated Trump on his victory in the presidential election and expressed hopes for an official visit to Uzbekistan.
As a reminder, Donald Trump took the oath of office on January 20, 2025, and officially began his second term as President of the United States.
