Mirziyoyev congratulates Olympic champions

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev extended his congratulations to Lazizbek Mullojonov and Asadkhoja Moydinkhojaev, who are set to become boxing champions at the Paris Summer Olympics in France, according to a report from the President's press service.

"I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude and congratulations for once again proving that Uzbekistan is a global leader in boxing. You have become true heroes of our nation. You are an outstanding example for the youth of New Uzbekistan. The international community has witnessed the remarkable abilities of our country’s athletes, and I am proud of you," Mirziyoyev stated.

The champions also expressed their satisfaction in fulfilling the trust placed in them by the President and the people.

It is worth noting that President Mirziyoyev previously had a telephone conversation with Diyora Keldiyorova, who secured the first gold medal for Uzbekistan’s Olympic team by defeating all her opponents in the judo competition in the 52-kilogram weight category. The President also congratulated Taekwondo athlete Ulugbek Rashidov and boxer Hasanboy Dusmatov, who each won gold medals in their respective weight categories at the Paris Olympics, becoming two-time Olympic champions.
