Mirziyoyev arrives in Kazakhstan

3565President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has arrived in Kazakhstan for a working visit, as reported by the President's press service.
At Astana International Airport, the head of state was welcomed by Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov and other officials.
Today, the Uzbek leader will participate in the second "Central Asia - Germany" summit.
The summit will focus on discussing further development and deepening of multilateral cooperation between the countries of the region and Germany. Special attention will be given to expanding practical collaboration in areas such as trade and economy, investment, technology, transport and communication, and other priority sectors. A joint meeting with the heads of leading German companies and banks is also planned.
For reference, the first "Central Asia - Germany" summit was held in Berlin on September 29 of last year.
It is worth noting that on September 15, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz paid an official visit to Uzbekistan. President Mirziyoyev welcomed Chancellor Scholz at Registan Square. Following their discussions in Samarkand, a Joint Declaration was adopted, and eight bilateral documents were signed. On September 16, President Mirziyoyev and Chancellor Scholz held a meeting with representatives of leading companies and banks from both countries in Samarkand. Additionally, they participated in the inauguration of a joint management personnel training school.
Yesterday, on September 16, Chancellor Scholz traveled to Kazakhstan, where he held talks with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in both narrow and extended formats. Several agreements were signed during the visit.
