The decision to introduce "moral expertise" for media products has been officially canceled and withdrawn from execution by the bodies that initially adopted the document. This was reported by the Ministry of Justice.

The Ministry of Justice found that the decision established generally binding legal norms that directly affected the rights and legitimate interests of individuals and legal entities. According to current legislation, any such legal document issued by ministries or departments must be registered with the Ministry of Justice to be legally valid.

Documents that have not undergone state registration cannot serve as a basis for regulating social relations or carry any legal consequences. As a result, the decision to implement "moral expertise" has been annulled and will not be enforced.

Meanwhile, experts from the Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment recommended submitting proposals to authorized bodies in the form of analytical opinions to address media products distributed through various channels that contradict current legislation.

It is worth recalling that last month, Otabek Hasanov, Director of the Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, announced plans to subject media products in Uzbekistan to a "spiritual examination." The goal was to ensure that media content did not promote immorality. This announcement sparked discussions and objections among active public representatives on social media.

The Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment clarified that the project aimed to prevent the distribution of media products deemed harmful to the upbringing of children and the development of the younger generation's minds.
