776Carmelo Inguanez has been appointed as the first Ambassador of Malta to Uzbekistan. This was announced by Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov on his Telegram channel.
Ambassador Inguanez presented his credentials to Minister Saidov today, January 23. Their discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations, including:
Expanding the legal framework.
Establishing parliamentary friendship groups.
Developing economic cooperation.
Promoting tourism.
Intensifying educational ties.
Exploring other areas of mutual interest.
A significant outcome of the meeting was the signing of an agreement to introduce a mutual visa-free regime for holders of diplomatic passports.
It's worth noting that the inclusion of Mark Julian Traynor's appointment in this article seems out of place. It is not directly related to Malta's ambassador appointment and may confuse readers.
