Classroom dispute between student and teacher (video)

A video depicting a confrontation between a student and a teacher has been circulating on social media, prompting a response from the Children's Ombudsman.  

According to reports, the incident occurred on February 8, 2025, during an English lesson at a comprehensive school in the Chirakchi district of the Kashkadarya region. During the lesson, 8th-grade students B.N. and E.S. got into an argument, exchanging insults. The teacher, E.F., instructed one of the students to leave the classroom, but the student refused to comply and used offensive language toward the teacher.  

“A service investigation was launched into the incident, an appropriate inquiry was conducted, and disciplinary measures were taken against the teaching staff,” the statement said.  

Additionally, an administrative report was issued against the parents of the students involved for violating school regulations. They were charged under Article 47 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, which pertains to failure to fulfill parental duties in raising and educating children.  

It should be recalled that a similar incident occurred earlier in Tashkent, where a teacher was penalized for striking a student on the head. The teacher was fined under Article 33 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of Uzbekistan, which allows for the application of a lighter administrative penalty.
