A 7-year-old boy died in an accident in Kashkadarya

A tragic incident occurred in Kashkadarya, claiming the life of a 7-year-old boy. According to reports from the regional DIA, on April 19 of this year, a first-grade student lost his life after being struck by a driver in Shahrisabz city, Kashkadarya region.
The driver, identified as K.M., was operating a Damas vehicle on the 4K-307 "Shahrisabz-Miraki" highway towards Miraki. At a point approximately 2 kilometers along the road, near Fusunkor street, "Uychilik" neighborhood, Shahrisabz city, the driver collided with a pedestrian, identified as O.I., who was crossing the road at a designated pedestrian crossing, resulting in a fatal accident.
Despite receiving medical assistance, O.I. succumbed to his injuries while hospitalized. Subsequently, the Investigative Department of the Shahrisabz City Police Department initiated a criminal case under Article 266 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the violation of vehicle safety rules or their use. The driver, K.M., has been apprehended pending further investigation.
It's a grim reminder of the dangers on the roads, as just recently, on May 5, another accident in the Sariosia district of Surkhandarya region claimed the lives of two individuals.
