The family of an electrician who tragically died from an electric shock while on duty at a cotton gin enterprise in Kashkadarya region will be compensated with 126 million sums. The Ministry of Poverty Reduction and Employment reported the news.
F.A., an electrician from Kashkadarya, passed away on June 28, 2023, after being electrocuted while working at the cotton gin. However, his family did not receive any financial assistance from the company following his death. F.A.'s spouse, F.U., sought help from the State Labor Inspectorate of the Poverty Reduction and Employment Department in Kashkadarya to secure the one-time payment and ongoing compensation that should have been provided by the company.
The appeal was thoroughly reviewed, and a lawsuit was filed with the Yakkabog Interdistrict Court for Civil Cases. The court ruled that 126 million sums should be awarded to F.U. (for herself and their two minor children).
For reference, in a similar case earlier, the family of an employee who died while working in the Andijan region was entitled to 485.7 million sums in compensation.
