Nissan incident involving pedestrians in Tashkent

13404A Nissan vehicle stopped to give way to pedestrians in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent City but was hit due to the fault of another car. This was reported by the Traffic Safety Department of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the city.
On January 7 of this year at 16:45, in front of house 53, Mustakillik Street, Mirzo Ulugbek district, the driver T.L., born in 2000, was operating a BYD vehicle and, due to failure to maintain a safe distance, collided with the rear of a Nissan car driven by Z.E., born in 1966. The Nissan had stopped to give way to pedestrians at a regulated pedestrian crossing. As a result of the collision, the Nissan crossed into the opposite lane and struck pedestrians A.O., born in 2003, and A.Z., born in 1992, who were crossing the road.
Following the accident, the pedestrians received first aid. The responsible officers of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Directorate are conducting an investigation into the incident.
Earlier, in the Khojaabad district of Andijan region, a schoolboy was hit by a car while crossing the road at a designated pedestrian crossing.
