On November 10, the President of the Republic of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, along with his daughter Laura Mattarella and accompanied by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, visited the New Uzbekistan Park. The delegation laid flowers at the foot of the Independence Monument, as reported by UzA.


It was highlighted that the distinguished guests extensively explored the architectural solutions of the complex, gaining insights into its composition and features.


The complex, spanning 3,000 years and encompassing crucial events from the ancient history of Uzbekistan to the present day, left a profound impression on the Italian delegation.


The report mentions that it has become a tradition for guests visiting Uzbekistan to acquaint themselves with this magnificent complex, initiated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.


Furthermore, President Sergio Mattarella is scheduled to visit the cities of Samarkand and Khiva, where he will familiarize himself with the cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan.
