Two Uzbeks died in a building explosion in Istanbul

Two Uzbeks were killed in an explosion that occurred in Istanbul, Turkey, on 9 October this year.  "Haberturk" reports about this.

It is noted that two of the three people who died as a result of the explosion and fire in the 3-story building in the Kadikoy district of Istanbul were citizens of Uzbekistan.

As a result of the accident, A.K., who was born in Uzbekistan was hospitalized.  His 68-year-old father, 10-year-old daughter, and another unknown person died.

The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul reported that it has received information about the condition of the injured citizen and that the issue of sending the bodies of the dead to the country is being considered.

The tragedy happened on 9 October in the Kadikoy region.  The initial cause of the explosion was thought to be a domestic gas leak, but now law enforcement agencies are carefully investigating other causes of the blast.  Investigators have already questioned 30 witnesses; procedural measures are ongoing.

A total of 56 firefighters and 19 vehicles were involved in extinguishing the fire, and the flames were extinguished within 3 hours.  After the fire was extinguished, the bodies of three people were found in the building.
