A 22-year-old man was apprehended for attempting to take two women to Istanbul, Turkey, for prostitution. The Fergana Regional Department of Internal Affairs reported this development.

According to authorities, during an event involving the Fergana Regional Department of Internal Affairs and other law enforcement agencies, the man, born in 2002 and residing in Turkey, arrived in Fergana on November 19. He managed to gain the trust of two women engaged in prostitution and persuaded them to travel to Istanbul to participate in the same activities, promising them financial gain. On November 27, he purchased an electronic ticket for a Tashkent-Istanbul flight at his own expense. While preparing to take the women with him, he was caught with incriminating evidence by the event participants.

A criminal case has been opened against the man under Article 135 of the Criminal Code (Human Trafficking), and preliminary investigations are ongoing.

This incident follows an earlier case in the Tashkent region, where a 22-year-old woman was arrested for attempting to send a 20-year-old acquaintance to Turkey for prostitution.
