“Golos.deti” – 15 seconds were enough for Singh from Uzbekistan

Children from Uzbekistan are participating in the “Golos.deti” project in Russia, which is in its 10th season.  In the 5th issue of the project, a 12-year-old girl from Uzbekistan named Sophie Singh appeared on the stage and succeeded in the 15th second.

According to the tradition of the show, Sophie Singh gave a short interview before going on stage.

“I am from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, my father is from India, and my mother is Uzbek.  They met at university.  I do hip-hop and ballet.  I wanted to be a doctor when I was a child.  “After my mother took me to vocal lessons, I fell in love with singing and a new dream was awoken in me,” she says.

Sophie Singh sang the song “I Believe I Can Fly” by American singer Robert Kelly.  It is noteworthy that only 15-17 seconds after they started playing the song, the judges Yegor Creed, Basta and “MakSim” pressed the button to turn to the stage.  Yegor Creed and MakSim gave the Uzbek girl a standing ovation until the end of the song.  After that, Sophie Singh chose Yegor Creed’s team.

According to the rules of the “Golos” television project, a participant who appears on stage in the first round sings a song and through their live performance tries to impress the judges sitting opposite them.  If the judges like the performer’s voice, they will turn towards the stage.  In such cases, the singer on the stage can choose one of the judges and be in his group in the following stages.

We remind you that another Uzbek boy, Firdavs Avezov, who took part in the 2nd episode of this show, attracted the attention of all three judges on the stage.  If these contestants continue to be successful, they may face each other as rivals in the final stages.
