Earlier reports indicated that an Uzbek man had attacked two 15-year-old teenagers with a knife in Poland. However, it has since been revealed that he was actually the victim in this case. This information was provided by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Poland.

"In order to clarify the information disseminated in the foreign media regarding the crime involving a citizen of Uzbekistan and to provide consular and legal assistance to our compatriot, a dialogue was held with law enforcement agencies in Warsaw," the embassy reported.

It has been noted that M.K., a citizen of Uzbekistan born in 1998 who worked in food delivery, was initially named as the perpetrator online. He had met a girl through internet dating sites and fell into a trap set by fraudsters. The incident occurred in Brodnensk Park in Warsaw, where the girl brought him to her accomplices to rob him. The Uzbek citizen defended himself after being assaulted.

According to the police, both the Uzbek man and the teenagers were arrested because they had committed a "crime against a 25-year-old man."

TVN reporters unofficially clarified that a 13-year-old girl had arranged to meet the 25-year-old Uzbek man in the forest. When he arrived, two teenagers, aged 15 and 16, took his car keys and phone. In response, he took a knife and injured the two teenagers. A rescuer was present at the scene and provided first aid to the victims. The two teenagers are currently in the hospital.

"According to the police, M.K. is now giving a victim impact statement and will be released today, July 24, following an investigation. The situation is under the control of the State Agency," the embassy said.
