Futsal: Uzbekistan draws with the Netherlands

Today, on September 14, the World Futsal Championship began in Uzbekistan. The match between Uzbekistan and the Netherlands, held at the "Humo Arena" in Tashkent, ended in a draw.

Dutch player Tevfik Cheyar scored the first goal of the match in the 4th minute, opening the scoring. Elbek Tolkinov equalized soon after, and the first half ended with a score of 1:1.

In the second half, the Netherlands regained the lead with a goal by Ismail Odduh. However, in the 36th minute, Ikhtiyor Ropiyev leveled the score again. A minute later, Odduh scored his second goal, putting his team ahead once more. In the 39th minute, Husniddin Nishonov restored the balance, ending the game in a tie.

It should be noted that this is the first time Uzbekistan is hosting a FIFA-sanctioned tournament. The national futsal team of Uzbekistan is participating in the World Championship for the third time.

For information, the World Cup will continue until October 6. In addition to Tashkent and Bukhara, tournament games will also be held in Andijan.
