In the Fergana region, 14 grooms and their associates who violated traffic rules by organizing a wedding procession have been sentenced to administrative detention. This was reported by the press service of the regional Department of Internal Affairs.

On February 14, the group staged a wedding procession on the carriageway in the Yangiyul neighborhood of the Tashlok district, grossly violating traffic rules and endangering other road users.

As a result, documents were drawn up under Article 183 (petty hooliganism) and Article 194 (failure to comply with the lawful requirements of an internal affairs officer) of the Code of Administrative Offenses. The case was sent to the Tashlok District Court for Criminal Cases, which sentenced the violators to administrative detention for 3, 5, and 7 days.

For reference, a similar incident occurred earlier in the Balikchi district of Andijan region, where a 22-year-old groom was fined 27.2 million sums for a wedding procession.
