On February 16, 2025, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that, as part of the ongoing operation, a crackdown was carried out against individuals involved in illegal drug trafficking in the Fergana region.

During this operation, a man born in 1963, previously convicted and identified by the court as a dangerous recidivist, was detained in the city of Fergana. He was caught attempting to sell 1 kilogram of "opium" to an undercover buyer for 130 million sums, in front of his apartment building.

In the city of Kuvasoy, a 1993-born driver was stopped on Koprikboshi Street while driving a Monza car. Upon inspection, law enforcement officials found 601 grams of "hashish" and 3 grams of "opiate" drugs in the car. The drugs were seized as material evidence.

Earlier, as part of the broader operation in Fergana, 939 cases were identified, including 86 criminal and 853 administrative cases. A total of 98 individuals were criminally charged, 889 faced administrative penalties, and 49 crimes were uncovered. Additionally, 31 wanted persons were detained, and 1,167 individuals were officially warned.
