The Ambassador of Uzbekistan presents credentials to the President of Germany

The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Dilshod Akhatov, presented his credentials to the Federal President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier. This was reported by the "Dunyo" news agency.


The report stated that the conversation following the presentation ceremony focused on the state of multifaceted Uzbek-German cooperation and the prospects for its further development.


Additionally, the flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan was raised at the end of the credential’s handover ceremony at the residence of the Federal President of Germany.


For your information, Dilshod Akhatov is 51 years old and holds degrees from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. His career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs began as an intern and progressed through various positions, including head of the department, head of the General Department, and deputy minister of foreign affairs.


From 2010 to 2013, he served as the ambassador of Uzbekistan to Germany, as well as to Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Sweden, and Spain. Prior to his appointment in Berlin, Dilshod Akhatov led the Embassy of Uzbekistan in India from 2020 to 2023.


It is worth noting that Dilshod Akhatov succeeded Nabijan Kasimov, who held the position of ambassador of Uzbekistan to Germany from 2017 to 2023. His arrival in Berlin took place last month in preparation for President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to Germany.
