For citizens whose income exceeds 5 million soums, the 200 kW limit for electricity pricing should not be applied. Alisher Qodirov, the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and leader of the "Milliy Tiklanish" Democratic Party faction, proposed this measure.

"My electricity bill, which usually does not exceed 300-400 thousand soums per month, has increased to 800 thousand soums. I am not pleased, but this is the energy I used and I have to pay for it," Qodirov stated.

He emphasized that support should be provided to those who genuinely need it, not to everyone indiscriminately.

"For instance, the 200 kW limit for electricity pricing should not be applied to citizens with incomes exceeding 5 million soums," said the deputy.

Qodirov highlighted the necessity of market relations in the energy sector, stating that energy provision without income generation is a burden on the economy.

"Due to system maintenance, the supply is of poor quality, which rightfully causes consumer complaints. However, regular income is essential for regular maintenance. When will the system change if it doesn't generate a profit? The state budget is not unlimited," Qodirov wrote.

According to the deputy, selling energy resources at twice the cost is causing a decline in the country's economy and negatively impacting people's livelihoods.

"My constituents elected me to improve their living conditions, not to collect cheap resources, citizen Kolya! I believe you will contribute to the success of the Patriotic Party in the elections. We need to create networks that use their income to provide social assistance, not networks that rely on external help. We have to endure difficulties today so that tomorrow will be better; there is no other way," Qodirov asserted.

The deputy mentioned that the cost of 1 kilowatt of electricity is 990 soums, and the sale of up to 200 kilowatts at 450 soums, and up to 1000 kilowatts at 900 soums, should be considered as support, not a requirement.

It should be noted that these days on social networks, particularly on Instagram, the hashtag "Uzbekenergo cancel the 200 kW limit!" is trending. Social media users are complaining that 200 kWh of electricity is not sufficient for a month.
