Illegal electricity use causes 2.1 billion soums in damages in Guliston

In Sirdaryo region's Guliston city, a private enterprise (“S. J.” LLC) was caught illegally consuming electricity worth 2.1 billion soums. This was reported by “Uzenergoinspeksiya.”
A monitoring inspection revealed that external interference had been applied to an electricity meter connected to 176 kW electrical equipment at the company’s facility, allowing unauthorized use of electricity.
Preliminary calculations estimate the damage caused to the power supply company at 2.13 billion soums. Documents regarding the violation have been prepared and submitted to law enforcement agencies for further action.
It is worth recalling that earlier, a mining farm in Bukhara region’s Gijduvon district was found to have stolen electricity worth 2.1 billion soums.
