Construction mishap near Chorsu: No injuries reported

Reports have been circulating on social media suggesting that a shopping center under construction near the "Chorsu" market on Sagbon Street in Tashkent had collapsed. In response, the Olmazor district administration released a statement addressing the situation.
It was clarified that all relevant authorities had arrived at the scene. Upon investigation, it was found that the building itself did not collapse. Instead, technical errors during the installation of formwork led to its failure while concrete was being poured. Thankfully, it was confirmed that neither nearby residents nor construction workers were harmed as a result.
The administration emphasized, “Responsible organizations will issue the necessary conclusions regarding whether construction standards were followed.”
