A Kazakh blogger recently raised concerns about the sale of substandard liver products at the "Chorsu" market in Tashkent, posting a video on social media to highlight the issue. The Tashkent City Department of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee quickly responded to the allegations.

According to the department, the "Chorsu" market is equipped with permanent laboratories where veterinary and sanitary examinations of meat products are regularly conducted.

Following an investigation conducted in collaboration with specialists from the Shaykhantohur district department, the Internal Affairs Directorate, and the market administration, it was discovered that liver products were being sold in an aisle designated for citizens, in violation of sanitary regulations, and without the required documentation.

"As a result, 9 kilograms of liver were removed from sale, and appropriate measures were taken to dispose of the products in accordance with established procedures," the report stated.

This incident comes after a similar situation last summer when a food stall at the Kuyluk market was temporarily closed due to severe violations of sanitary regulations. Despite repeated warnings and educational efforts, the stall continued to breach health standards, leading to the temporary suspension of operations at the market.
