16-year-old boy dies after falling from “Chorsu” hotel

On the evening of November 28, 2024, at approximately 19:20, a tragic incident occurred in the Shaykhontohur district of Tashkent. A 16-year-old boy, born in 2008, died after falling from the former "Chorsu" hotel. The press secretary of the Prosecutor General's Office, Hayot Shamsutdinov, confirmed the incident following a request from QALAMPIR.UZ.

According to reports, the teenager, a resident of the village of Khumoyun in the Mirzo Ulugbek district, entered the abandoned "Chorsu" hotel with an acquaintance without authorization. He fell from the 21st floor to the 3rd floor of the building and died at the scene.

Authorities have ordered a forensic medical examination to determine the exact circumstances surrounding his death.

The Shaykhontohur District Prosecutor's Office is currently conducting a preliminary investigation into the incident.

This follows a similar tragedy in Andijan, where another 16-year-old boy recently lost his life after jumping from a roof.
