Male wearing a burqa was punished in Tashkent

16942Previously, it was reported that a man was apprehended for wearing women's clothing at the Chorsu market in Tashkent. Sources from QALAMPIR.UZ identified the man as P.B., born in 2002 in the Boka district of Tashkent region.
On June 19, the young man covered his face near the Chorsu market in the Shaykhontohur district, making it impossible to identify him. While walking, he refused to comply with the legal orders of internal affairs officers and actively resisted their duties, attracting a crowd.
On June 20, in the Shaykhontohur district criminal court, the young man testified and confirmed the circumstances, including his longstanding interest in women's clothing and his decision to wear a burqa and cover his face at the market.
The court found 22-year-old P.B. not guilty under Article 194, Part 1 (Failure to fulfill the legal requirements of a military serviceman of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan) of the Code of Administrative Responsibility. However, he was found guilty of offenses under Article 184-4 (Massing in public places in a manner that does not allow identification) and Article 195 (Resisting internal affairs officers from performing their duties) of the same code.
He was sentenced to a fine of 3 million 400 thousand soums (10 times the BCA) and 15 days of administrative imprisonment.
