Twenty kilograms of heroin were found in a truck leaving the country through the 'Yallama' border customs post on the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan border. The Customs Committee informed QALAMPIR.UZ about this.

It is reported that the employees of the customs department of the Tashkent region suspected that the cargo vehicle was traveling to a foreign country empty and checked it.

Afterward, it was discovered that there were suspicious objects on the floor of the trunk. When this area was opened, it was revealed that there were 36 packages wrapped with tape in secret compartments.

Upon opening the packages, it was found that the strong-smelling substance inside was, according to preliminary information, approximately 20 kg of heroin.

It is noted that the situation is currently under investigation.

Let us remind you that in August of this year, a foreign citizen who attempted to bring 55 kilograms of narcotics into the territory of Uzbekistan was apprehended at the border customs post in the Tashkent region. At the beginning of last month, the largest amount of narcotics in the last 30 years - 8.5 tons - was seized at Tashkent International Airport. Earlier, an individual who tried to conceal the narcotic drug in their internal organs and transport it through customs was also apprehended.
