Cadastral engineer was arrested in Bukhara for accepting $3,000 bribe

In the Bukhara region, a cadastral engineer was apprehended for allegedly soliciting a bribe of $3,000 in exchange for securing a permit for the use of a businessman’s property. The incident was reported by the Department of Combating Economic Crimes.

During a swift operation aimed at protecting the rights of business entities, conducted in collaboration with the Bukhara city department and regional law enforcement officials, M.S., the leading engineer from the Korovulbazar district branch of the Cadastre Chamber, was found to have accepted the money from citizen A.K. and businessman J.S.

"A criminal case has been initiated under Articles 25, 168 (fraud), and 28, 211 (bribery) of the Criminal Code, and investigations are ongoing," the report states.

This follows a previous case in the Andijan region, where engineers from an electric network enterprise were arrested for accepting 20 million soums from a businessman.
