Individuals Caught Selling 20 Sotix Land for $230,000 in Bostonlik

2838Several individuals promising to facilitate the sale of 20 sotix of land in the Bostonlik district of Tashkent region for $230,000 were apprehended. This was reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General’s Office.
According to the report, the Bo‘stonliq District Department, in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, conducted an operation that led to the arrest of citizens A.A., R.A., and I.S. (previously convicted). The suspects conspired and took $230,000 from citizen X.A. under the pretense of securing legal documents for the 20 sotix plot of land in the “Xo‘jakent” area. The suspects were caught with evidence during the transaction.
Additionally, in a separate operation conducted by the Yangihayot District Department and law enforcement agencies, citizen S.I. was detained for defrauding M.O. S.I. had promised, with the help of acquaintances, to formalize ownership documents for an 18 ar land plot in the “Yangi Gulzor” area for $200,000. S.I. was caught with evidence after accepting an advance payment of $20,000.
These incidents have led to criminal cases being initiated under Article 168 (Fraud) and Articles 28, 211 (Bribery) of the Criminal Code. Investigations are currently ongoing.
Earlier, in the Navoi region’s Karmana district, an individual attempting to sell 1 hectare of state reserve land was apprehended. Similarly, individuals promising to legalize the sale of 2 hectares of land in the Andijan region’s Khojaobod district for $300,000 were also detained.
