The head of the cadastral department in Andijan region was caught with a $6,000 bribe. The State Security Service reported this.

It is reported that the head of the cadastral department of one of the districts of Andijan region demanded $6,000 in exchange for not issuing an act on the demolition of an illegal structure on 17 acres of a 1 hectare of land leased by the government to a citizen for gardening, not filing a lawsuit with the courts and not submitting documents to the prosecutor's office to bring him to criminal liability, as well as for later assisting in the registration of 22 acres of this land as a residential area in accordance with the law "On recognition of rights to arbitrarily occupied land plots and buildings and structures constructed on them."

However, he was detained with material evidence by officers of the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes while receiving the requested amount of money in his office.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against this official under Part 1 of Article 210 (Bribery) of the Criminal Code and a preventive measure of arrest has been applied.

Two previously convicted inspectors of the Kokand city department of “Fergana Water Supply” JSC were detained with material evidence while taking advantage of their official duties to install drinking water meters for a total of 555 apartments in new multi-storey buildings being built by a local construction company in Kokand city, issuing personal cards, issuing certificates, and other services.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against these individuals under Article 25 (Renting and leasing of houses and apartments belonging to citizens and legal entities), Article 168 (Fraud), Part 4, Clause “a” and Article 28 (Types of participants in the crime), Part 3, Clause “a” of Article 211 (Bribery) of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are being conducted.

In a case observed in the Namangan region, an engineer from the Davlatabad district department of the “Energosavdo” enterprise under the “Regional Electric Networks” JSC was detained while he was recording the illegal use of an electricity meter at an LLC engaged in metal smelting activities, which caused a large amount of damage to the state, and receiving 20 thousand US dollars through an intermediary in exchange for not formalizing the case and not imposing a fine.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against this person under Article 168, Part 4, Clause “a” of the Criminal Code (Bribery) and Article 28,211, Part 3, Clause “a” of the Criminal Code, and a preventive measure of arrest has been applied.

It should be recalled that earlier, the senior investigator of the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau in the Khorezm region demanded 2 thousand US dollars in exchange for hiring a citizen in the PIU system.
