Today, 14 January, the 85th prestigious chess tournament "Tata Steel 2023" will start in the Dutch city of Wijk Zee. Chess masters from Uzbekistan will also participate in the competition.

Among the leading grandmasters, Nodirbek Abdusattarov will compete in the "Masters" group, and Javahir Sindorov will compete in the "Challenger" group.

Abdusattorov will compete against world chess leaders such as Magnus Carlsen, Anish Giri, Fabiano Caruana, and Wesley So.

In the first round, Nodirbek will compete against Rihard Rapport from Romania, and Javahir Sindorov will compete against Alexander Donchenko from Germany.

It should be noted that the international tournament will last until 29 January.
