Abdusattarov drew with his Polish opponent in the international tournament

The prestigious “WR Chess Masters” chess tournament, hosted by the German city of Düsseldorf, is coming to an end.  On 23 February, the 7th round of the competition was held.

In this round, Uzbek chess player Nodirbek Abdusattarov played white pieces against Poland’s Jan Kristof Duda and signed a draw.  After 7 rounds, Nodirbek took 9th place in the tournament table with 3 points.  Kristof Duda, who tied with Abdusattarov in the 9th round, is in 10th place.

There was no change in the top three of the competition table.  Levon Aronian, the representative of the USA, still has the best chance for the championship.  He has 4.5 points.  India’s Gukesh Domarju also has 4.5 points after seven rounds.  Another American chess player Wesley So completed the top three.

Today, 24 February, the 8th round of the competition will be held.  As part of the round, Nodirbek Abdusattarov will play against Anish Giri from the Netherlands.  The match will start at 18:15p.m. Tashkent time.
