16-year-old uzbek teenager dies in the United States

On August 20, a 16-year-old teenager from Uzbekistan tragically lost his life in the United States after an accident, as reported by "News 12."

The teenager, identified as Umidjon Juraev, a resident of Brooklyn, was riding a scooter with two friends when he collided with a truck. He succumbed to his injuries. Another teenager who was with him was taken to the hospital with injuries, while a third suffered minor injuries.

According to reports, Umidjon was the only child in his family, and his death has profoundly saddened his relatives. On August 21, family members gathered at a mosque in Kensington for his funeral.

The police are currently questioning the 48-year-old truck driver involved in the incident. At this time, he has not been arrested or charged.

It is worth noting that on July 17, 2023, another tragic incident occurred in Brooklyn. Fifteen-year-old Faridun Mavlanov from Samarkand was returning home from school with his friends when he was attacked and subsequently died. A year later, it was reported that the perpetrator had been apprehended.
