Some messages on social media are claiming that officials have initiated two administrative and one criminal case against the blogger Hojiakbar Nosirov ("Activist"), who is known for his video critiques about the quality and suitability of certain products.  According to Hayat Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the Prosecutor General's Office, the blogger is not in jail.

The reports state that Hojiakbar Nosirov was released on 23rd of April at 4:00 p.m., after the administrative sentence set by the court.

Currently, there is no information about whether an administrative or criminal case is underway against him.

It should be recalled that Hojiakbar Nosirov had been imprisoned for 15 days on 8th April this year.  An administrative case was studied under Article 184-3 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility (preparation, storage or distribution of materials promoting national, racial, ethnic or religious hatred) and 1-Part of Article 194 (failure to comply with the legal requirements of an employee of internal affairs) of the Code of Administrative Responsibility.  Nosirov had created a video in which he stated that all the various yoghurt products being sold in the shops are haram and advised against consuming them.

Later, the Fatwa Center of the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan refuted Nosirov's claim that the products were haram and in fact, they contain carmine E120 which is acceptable to consume.
