At the Dostlik border veterinary control point on the Uzbek-Kyrgyz state border in Osh region, 650 kilograms of sausage products being transported from Uzbekistan were denied entry into the territory of Kyrgyzstan. The Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan reported this.
During an inspection of the cargo, inspectors at the border veterinary control point found violations of the veterinary and sanitary requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union. In particular, it was established that the product had no labeling and did not meet veterinary and sanitary requirements.
Based on the identified violations, the cargo was banned from entering Kyrgyzstan. After the inspectors drew up the relevant reports, the cargo was returned to Uzbekistan through the Dostlik border veterinary control point.
“State veterinary control is aimed at ensuring the safety of animal products transported across the state border, as well as preventing goods that do not meet established veterinary requirements from entering the country,” the report said.
Earlier, it was reported that inspectors of Kyrgyzstan’s Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection and Quarantine checked and returned a 21-ton batch of watermelons from Uzbekistan during phytosanitary control at the Dostlik post.
