Aripov visits Kyrgyzstan and meets Japarov

Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov visited Kyrgyzstan yesterday, June 22, and was received by President Sadyr Japarov in the city of Cholpon-Ata. Kyrgyz media reported this.

Sadyr Japarov discussed current issues of Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation with the Uzbek Prime Minister, who arrived in the country on a working visit, with particular attention paid to political and economic cooperation.

The head of state said relations between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan are developing rapidly within the framework of strategic partnership. According to him, the upcoming meeting of the intergovernmental commission will be an important stage in advancing joint projects and initiatives.

For his part, Abdulla Aripov conveyed greetings from President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Sadyr Japarov and expressed readiness to further implement the agreements reached at the level of the two heads of state.

At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their intention to strengthen cooperation in the spirit of good neighborliness and strategic partnership, as well as to develop joint projects aimed at improving the well-being of citizens of the two countries and supporting the sustainable development of Central Asia.

For reference, the 12th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek Intergovernmental Commission on Bilateral Cooperation will be held today, June 23, in Cholpon-Ata.

Earlier, it was reported that Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, visited Kazakhstan on June 21 and was received by Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
