In 2024, state procurement results worth 263.9 billion sums were annulled due to irregularities, according to the Anti-Corruption Agency of Uzbekistan.

The agency revealed that it had been conducting ongoing monitoring of state customer purchases. Over the year, 273 procurement cases amounting to 552.5 billion sums were examined. As a result, 234 procurement deals, totaling 263.9 billion sums, were canceled due to violations.

Additionally, 257 formal submissions were made to ministries and agencies, 273 questionnaires were sent to law enforcement and regulatory bodies, and 104 individuals faced administrative penalties, while 85 were subjected to disciplinary action.

The Ministries of Health, Transport, and Preschool Education were identified as the main entities involved in illegal public procurement practices. These findings underscore the persistent challenges in ensuring compliance with procurement regulations.

The Anti-Corruption Agency emphasized its commitment to monitoring state procurements to ensure adherence to legal requirements.

“Monitoring of compliance with legislative requirements in procurements carried out by state customers continues,” the agency stated.
