Mattarella visits Khorezm with his daughter

The President of the Republic of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, along with his daughter Laura Mattarella, is on an official visit to Uzbekistan and arrived in Khorezm today, November 11. This was reported by UzA.

At the Urganch International Airport, the guests were welcomed by Tanzila Norboyeva, the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Jorabek Rahimov, the Governor of Khorezm Region, and Gayrat Fazilov, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

It is planned that President Mattarella will acquaint himself with the historical and cultural monuments of the "Ichan Qala" state museum-reserve in Khiva. As a reminder, earlier, President Mattarella visited Samarkand and toured the Registan Square.

For reference, on November 9, President Sergio Mattarella arrived in Uzbekistan with his daughter Laura Mattarella. They were welcomed by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov at Tashkent International Airport. On the morning of November 10, accompanied by Abdulla Aripov, Sergio and Laura Mattarella visited the New Uzbekistan Park and laid flowers at the base of the Independence Monument.

Subsequently, an official welcoming ceremony for Italian President Sergio Mattarella took place at the Koksaroy residence. Following the ceremony, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan and President Sergio Mattarella of Italy engaged in bilateral talks at the Koksaroy residence. Afterward, a joint statement was adopted, aimed at further developing the strategic partnership and multilateral cooperation between the two countries.
