With the onset of cold weather, social networks are filled with reports that citizens are suffering from “svet” or lack of gas.  Especially in remote areas, the fact that the “lights” are turned off for several hours instead of one or two hours is the biggest problem and cause for discussion in recent days.  So, how right is it that people suffer by turning off the lights?  Deputy Minister of Energy Sherzod Khojayev answered this very question.

“It is not fair to turn them off even one hour, they should not be turned off.   This is only a forced measure today.  We do not want to justify ourselves, but at the same time we have statistics, if you give us specific information about the areas where electricity is cut off for 12 hours every day, we will study that situation separately because we develop constraint tables.  If in some area there is a shutdown of half an hour or 12 hours instead of one hour without following the restriction schedules, first of all we will investigate the reasons, and secondly, if there is a human factor, we will take action against these employees." said the Deputy Minister of Energy.
