Online negotiations were recently held between the Reconstruction and Development Fund of Uzbekistan and the Export-Import Bank of India (Eximbank of India), as reported by "Dunyo" news agency.

During the discussions, both parties focused on the agreement concerning mutual financial and technical assistance between the Government of Uzbekistan and Eximbank of India. The Government of India intends to provide loans to finance key infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan.

India's investment plans include the construction and maintenance of highways, the establishment of smart online auditoriums in higher education institutions, and the development of sewage systems in residential areas, among other projects. Both sides have agreed to commence these planned initiatives soon.

It is worth noting that Uzbekistan recently engaged in talks with India on pharmaceutical safety, following the "Dok-1 Max" incident. The Indian government expressed its commitment to enhancing internal quality control measures and collaborating closely with Uzbekistan to ensure unapproved pharmaceutical products do not enter the Uzbek market. This dialogue follows a tragic incident in December 2022, where approximately 70 children in Uzbekistan died due to the consumption of Indian-made "Dok-1 Max" tablets and syrup. Consequently, the drug was banned, and legal actions were taken, resulting in the prosecution of 19 individuals.
