3781Authorities have discovered multiple technical defects in the elevator that recently fell with passengers inside a residential building in Tashkent. The Committee for Industry, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety provided comments on the incident.
Following an inspection of the elevators at the specified address, officials identified more than ten defects. Additionally, the elevator lacked essential safety features, including a surveillance camera, a dispatcher communication system, and an emergency reporting mechanism.
In response, specialists from the committee, along with representatives from relevant organizations, took technical safety measures to address the identified issues.
This incident follows a previous tragedy on February 3, when a cleaning worker was fatally crushed by elevator counterweights in a shopping mall in the Almazar district of Tashkent.
