9298Japanese referee Yasuke Araki has been appointed to officiate the upcoming match between the Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan national teams as part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Uzbekistan has previously played two international matches under Araki’s officiating, recording one victory and one draw. In the 2023 AFC Asian Cup match against Australia, which he refereed, Uzbekistan secured a 1-1 draw. Meanwhile, in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Uzbekistan defeated Turkmenistan 3-1 with Araki as the referee.
The highly anticipated Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan match is set to take place on March 20 at the Bunyodkor Stadium in Tashkent, kicking off at 21:00 local time.
Earlier, it was reported that Husniddin Alikulov, a defender for the Uzbekistan national team, will miss the March training camp due to an injury.
