Seven-year-old girl raped by relative in Namangan

Authorities have confirmed to QALAMPIR.UZ that a 7-year-old girl was raped by her 38-year-old relative in the Yangikurgan district, Namangan region. 

The crime took place on October 14, 2025. The suspect, who was attending a wedding at his uncle’s house, allegedly deceived his 7-year-old niece, raped her, and then fled the scene.

The man was apprehended two days later and, on October 16, 2025, was placed in custody by a ruling of the Yangikurgan district criminal court as a preventive measure.

The suspect in this crime has previously been convicted twice for similar offenses and served prison sentences for those crimes.

It is worth noting that earlier this summer, in one of Tashkent Region’s districts, a man was found guilty of raping his own daughter. On July 24, 2025, the court convicted him of committing a serious crime against his child. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison under Article 118, part 3, clauses ’’a,’’ ’’b,’’ and ’’e’’ of the Uzbekistan Criminal Code (Rape).
