2 teenage girls die by suicide in Khorezm

In a tragic incident in Urgench, Khorezm region, two underage girls died by suicide after jumping from the roof of a multi-storey residential building. The news was confirmed by Hayot Shamsutdinov, Press Secretary of the Prosecutor General’s Office, in response to a request from QALAMPIR.UZ.
According to reports, on July 7 at 08:15, the duty unit of the Internal Affairs Department in Urgench received a call informing them that two individuals had jumped from the roof of a seven-storey building on Nurli Hayot Street. Both victims died at the scene.
An initial investigation revealed that the victims were D.S., born in 2009, and S.B., born in 2010 — both minors.
At present, the Urgench City Prosecutor’s Office is carrying out a pre-investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the case.
