Excavator leaves over 28,000 without gas in Kashkadarya

More than 28,000 residents in the Kashkadarya region were left without gas due to damage to a gas pipeline during excavation work carried out by an unknown excavator. This was reported by the press service of "Hududgaztaminoti" JSC.  

An unknown excavator damaged a gas pipeline during excavation work in the protected area of the Karaktay gas pipeline network. To fix the malfunction, the activities of the Jalilbek and Karaktay gas distribution stations, which supply natural gas from the Karaktay gas pipeline network, were temporarily suspended on February 12.  

As a result, gas supply has been temporarily suspended for 28,229 residents and 716 wholesale consumers in the following areas of Kashkadarya region:  

- Karshi city: “Arabkhona”, “Shaikhali”, “Nasaf”, “Darvozatutak”, “Qarlykhona”, “Geolog”, “Otchopar”, “Zogza”, “Kurgancha”, “Navruz”, “Chakar”, “Charmgar”, “Boghishamol”, “Eskiankhor”, “Roguzar”, “Samarkand”, “Yangi Chaman”, “Aral”, “Khudoyzod”, “Qarlykhbagot”, “Gulshan”, Alisher Navoiy, “Kunchikar”, “Komilon”, “Beklar”, “Makhsumobod”, “Mahallot”, “Tarakkiyot”, “Mustaqillik”, and “Ravok” MFIs, as well as 1-2 m/t.  
- Karshi district "Bogobod", "Yertepa", "Kochkak", "Mustakillik Kurgani", and "Pargoza" neighborhoods.  
- Koson district: "Kolbuqa", "Khojakurgan", and "Nasaf" neighborhoods.  

According to the report, the gas supply will be restored after the repair work is completed.  

Earlier, in the Syrdarya region, 200 homes were left without electricity after a Nexia driver crashed into a pole.
