Journalist Gudrat Irnazarov has passed away.

Gudrat Irnazarov, a doctor of historical sciences and veteran journalist, has died at the age of 73. This was reported by the Information Service of the Union of Journalists.

Gudrat Irnazarov was born in 1950 in the city of Tashkent. Over the years, he worked as a newspaper reporter, history department teacher, director, and dean at the National University.

From 2019 until his passing, he served as a professor in the Department of Social and Humanitarian Sciences at the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan. Later, he became a professor in the Department of Public Relations and Advertising. In 2008, he was awarded the Order of Labor Fame.

Sherzodkhan Qudrathoja, the rector of the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan, also mentioned on his social media page that Gudrat Irnazarov, as a selfless educator and prolific scholar, made significant contributions to the development of Uzbekistan’s mass media.
