Father evading alimony payments was jailed for 15 days in Jizzakh

A father from the Jizzakh region who was evading child support payments was sentenced to 15 days in jail, according to the Regional Enforcement Bureau.
The Zarbdar Inter-District Court on civil cases decided that the debtor, I.T., must pay alimony for his children to G.Sh. Despite enforcement actions, it was discovered that the debtor had been avoiding these payments.
"Under Article 47, Part 4 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, the debtor's father was sentenced to 15 days of administrative imprisonment because his debt had exceeded 10 million soums," the report stated.
Earlier, in Fergana, a father who had been avoiding alimony payments was found in a nightclub.
