Father is arrested for evading alimony payments in Jizzakh

In the Jizzakh region, a father was sentenced to 15 days in prison for failing to pay alimony, as reported by the Regional Enforcement Bureau.
According to the executive order from the Jizzakh Inter-District Court on civil cases, the Sh. Rashidov District Prosecutor's Office managed the collection of alimony debt from the father. The state executive of the department prepared the necessary documents against the debtor and submitted them to the Criminal Court for review.
During the trial, the debtor admitted his failure to pay alimony on time, citing a difficult family situation as the reason for his ongoing inability to make payments, and requested legal leniency.
The claimant argued in court that the father consistently failed to pay alimony, leaving the claimant to raise the children alone under challenging circumstances. The claimant requested that the court enforce full payment of the alimony and take legal action against the father.
The court found the debtor guilty of the offense specified in Article 474 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, sentencing him to 15 days of administrative imprisonment. He was immediately arrested in the courtroom and taken to a special institution to serve his sentence.
Previously, it was reported that a woman from Samarkand who had also failed to pay alimony was located in Tashkent.
