Jizzakh region appoints new deputy governors for finance and agriculture

Zafar Abdumajidovich Azimov has been appointed as the First Deputy Governor of the Jizzakh region for Finance, Economy, and Poverty Reduction, and as the Head of the Regional Main Department of Economy and Finance. This was announced by the governor's office on its Telegram channel.

Azimov, born in 1985 in Samarkand, previously held the position of First Deputy Minister of Poverty Reduction and Employment in Uzbekistan.

Additionally, Zafar Sharopovich Ruziyev has been appointed Deputy Governor for Agriculture and Water Management and as the Head of the Department of Agriculture. Ruziyev, born in 1964 in the Kitab district of Kashkadarya, served as the mayor of Zarbdor district since 2019.

Azimov succeeds Abdivalijon Saidovich Mustanov, who has held the role of First Deputy Governor since 2021, while Ruziyev takes over from Oybek Shodmonkulovich Ashurmatov, who has served in the position since 2019.

In related news, Gayrat Abdullaevich Yuldoshev was recently appointed Deputy Chairman of the Board of "Uzbekneftegaz" JSC for construction and transport. Before this, Yuldoshev was Deputy Head of the Capital Construction and Design Department at "Uzbekneftegaz" JSC.
